In 2020, the Association for Progressive Communications (APC) turns 30 years old, and to commemorate this special date we have asked the members of our network about their vision for APC in the next 10 years to come.
While we are celebrating what has been achieved in the past three decades, at the same time we are looking forward to more years of harnessing the collective power of activists, organisations, excluded groups, communities and social movements to create a just and sustainable world, challenging existing power structures and ensuring that the internet is developed and governed as a global public good.
Listen to the vision for the next ten years of APC of our member Open Culture Foundation from Taiwan.

Hi, this is Taiwan member – Open Culture Foundation.
We delight to meet partners all over the world through APC!!
Although it hardly has fiscal meeting this year due to COVID-19 pandemic, but the interaction became more vivid, diverse, and creative on interent. However, digital rights and privacy issues are also more unignorable when human society depends on internet/digital heavier than before. The crisis in Hong Kong is one of example to show how civil society well use technology and is controlled by government through technology too.
We hope in next 10 years, there will be a great ecosystem around global communities by APC’s work, especially a tighter interaction net. Also, OCF wishes to connect more local Asia APC members to promote digital rights.
